No Watering

by Michael Smith
(Coffeyville, KS)

Mow a space in full sun, and lay down a sheet of heavy black plastic 10' x 25'. Cut xes at spacing of 24" x 30" (50 slips). With a spoon dig a hole just large enough to plant slip. Water this in if you are worried. That's it!
We do not spray, fertilize and do not WATER. Dig carefully before first frost (Oct. 25 in this area).
We grow these on the front parking and they are the size of footballs. Can't argue with results!
